Hello!

Growing up as a girl in Western Massachusetts I never could have imagined owning a permit processing business in South Florida, but I am here now and loving it.

I’ve always had an ambitious spirit with a knack for numbers and a meticulous vision for organization. My education began at Bay Path College (now University) in Longmeadow, MA. where I studied International Finance and Interior Design. When I relocated to South Florida in 2002, I finished my schooling and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Lynn University. After that, I worked several accounting and bookkeeping jobs as I raised my kids and continued searching for the perfect niche for me.

In 2013 I was hired by a window company to do their bookkeeping, but it wasn’t long before I was tasked with pulling permits and familiarizing myself with all the many different facets of the construction industry. I also spent three years working for a fencing company doing their permits. Soon I began working for a subcontractor window installer and together we established our own impact window installation company, which I ran for seven years.

Now with years of permitting knowledge and experience under my belt, I decided to break away from my installation company and focus myself on what truly fulfilled me.

office organization, stapler, office work, small business, women owned business

I love my work and I am pleased to offer my talents and experience to anyone that needs a hand in making their building aspirations come true.

Over the years I have learned how to pull all kinds of permits, but I am a master at windows and doors. While those are definitely my areas of special expertise, I assure you—you name it, I can do it! I am very thorough, very knowledgeable, and most importantly, very willing to properly educate myself on anything I’m not already familiar with.

No job is too big or too small for me. Whenever you need me, I will always be here for you at Blue Moon.

The Story Behind

the Name

When it came time to name my business, only one thing came to mind: my dad. The Blue Moon was the name of his favorite local pub where I grew up in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

After his passing just a few short years ago, I was so often remembering my childhood with him and how often he loved to go to his favorite place, always saying, “if you need me I’ll be at The Blue Moon.”

I would love for all of my clients—past, present, and future—to remember me this way; as a friendly, reliable place that will give you an experience you can remember warmly, with a smile. “Go see Donna…at The Blue Moon.”

I look forward to the pleasure of working with each and every one of you.
